ER: No organisation, have to wait for 3 hours getting viruses from other people, need a special waiting room for those who don’t have virus but have other problems! Nurses don’t come outside just call the names inside and those who are outside have to wait for 3 hours! The useless check in lady does nothing but chatting with the reception, instead of going around giving blankets, offering water or hot drinks for those who has to wait for 3-4 hours outside cause people inside are coughing and vomiting! That’s insane!!! You can get well or die until they come to you!

CHOC nurses/physicians/volunteers were the best I could’ve hoped for. My baby recently needed to get admitted to CHOC and for any parent it is nerve wrecking for a baby to be in the hospital. The nurses and physicians went above and beyond on checking on my baby constantly and making sure I was involved and aware of what was going on. I am extremely happy with the care my daughter received.

I will say this Hospital and it's service is quite good and the nursing / doctor staff is quite excellent. However, some details of this hospital from an employee perspective. The CEO and Other top management make millions / year. And receive great bonuses. BUT, who does all the work (it's the Doctors and Nurses). YET, what bonuses and adjustments do we make!! Close to zero. This is a non-union hospital, thus the Nurses are paid 30 - 50% below other local hospitals. Part Time Nurses are paid more than Full Time Nurses. Go figure! AND some of us received a whopping 0.25% raise!! YES, barely $1 and we attempt to save lives here. SO, maybe it's time to organize for a Union so the Children get the best care and the nurses are not over worked and understaffed.

My daughter's visit was to a GI doctor. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. The receptionist was very kind. When I scheduled the appointment, the representative did tell me it was very important to arrive on time or 15 minutes prior or it would result in a cancellation. I do not have a vehicle, but I had to wait almost a month for my daughter to be seen, so I prioritized the appointment and got there early. Thank you!! This was an amazing hospital with knowledgeable doctors who genuinely care about patients' health.

The most INCREDIBLE staff❣️BEST word to describe this 2 day unexpected process is KINDNESS. Every single staff member involved in my sons care was EXCEPTIONAL and showed kindness. From the sleep study department to admitted care for surgery these people TRULY CARE, are 100% GENUINE, ATTENTIVE and HIGHLY SKILLED at what they do. They made a scary situation more COMFORTABLE for my child and myself. The nurse got him a stress ball, games, a stuff animal. The process of the surgery was explained to him with photos. The doctors and nurses COMMUNICATED EFFECTIVELY, LISTENED to my son and picked up on subtle emotions LISTENED again and reassured him every time. They asked him what would help him feel more comfortable which was music and they were able to have music play for him in preparation for surgery. They deserve to be RECOGNIZED and HONORED for all the GOOD they do. I’m extremely thankful. 🙏❤️🙏 BIG THANK YOU to the doctors, nurses, admissions, case management, security and the hospital in general for CREATING a WARM, PEACEFUL, CLEAN, and WELCOMING environment.
